Thinking

Well, I was thinking that I wasn't going to put out all of my Christmas decorations, but I really love how it looks so I guess I will.  For some reason I seem to be dragging out getting it done.  I don't know why.  I have been ready for Christmas since September due to Pinterest and looking back at older posts on different blogs.  I love looking at other blogs.  I hope to make a button soon so when someone visits, they can grab the button.  Anyway I took some more pictures and will be posting them.  Thanks for stopping by.

In Full Swing

Well I am working on the Christmas decorations.  I have one tree in the den and one I am working on in the living room.  We usually get a live tree for the living room.  If we decide to do that this year, I will move the living room tree to the dining room.  I've been adding larger pieces to the trees such as elves, sock monkeys, Annalee figures, etc.  I've also been using ribbon instead of the deco mesh.  I didn't want the tree to look real bulky so that's why I didn't use the mesh.  Anyway, I'll post some pictures so you can see it.  Thanks for visiting my blog.  Come back for more photos of my decorations.

Deco Mesh Wreaths

I've been taking classes every Saturday at Fads & Frames (I love that place) to learn how to use deco mesh, make wreaths and use it for other decorating purposes.  I'm going to attempt to add some pictures of what I have done from Facebook.  Let's see how I do!

Yay!  I did it!  Let me know what you think.
Have a blessed day.

Time

Well, here is it only 43 days left until Christmas and once again I have completely fogotten about this blog :(  I'm not sure how I expect to get readers if I don't post.

Oh well, I have been busy making deco mesh wreaths and candy canes.  I've made several football themed wreaths and I'm fixing to start on a 1/2 LSU and 1/2 Saints wreath.  I've been buying up supplies to make some Christmas wreaths to sell.  I've also learned how to make the deco mesh poinsettia.  Those are super cute.  Anyway, I know I keep promising pictures, but I promise I will get to that tonight.

Have a blessed and joy filled day!

Getting Closer

Well, here it is October 11th.  Christmas is getting closer everyday and while i do love that holiday and I'm already buying things, around here getting Halloween decorations up is going on.  I've bought tombstones for the front yard and I've made a cute deco mesh wreath for the door (I'll be posting pics).  I can't wait for all the kids to come around trick or treating.

Anyway, I just watched a vidoe over at Savvy Seasons by Liz and she stated she was buying Christmas decorations.  I think that is the right idea to buy a little at a time so you don't get totally overwhelmed the closer it is to Christmas.

So while all of you are processing that thought and thinking in the next thought "but it's not even Halloween yet!", I hope you have a wonderfully, blessed day.

2012 Ornaments

Well, I bought my first 2012 Christmas Ornaments.  Hobby Lobby had them 40% off.  I couldn't pass that up.  Looks like it's going to be more glitter.  :)  I will try to post pictures below.  Also, my mother painted me a couple of pictures.  Snowmen and Snowwomen.  She's awesome!

Saturday, September 8, 2012

Well, I sure haven't done much with this blog, but there is only 108 days left until Christmas! :)  Things have been very stressful here so I decided I have to have some joy in my life.  One of the things that brings me joy is Christmas so I'm going to start working on that.  So far I've found two magazines dealing with Christmas.  I love buying holiday magazines in order to get ideas.  Although I have to admit that the Better Homes and Gardens issue was a bit bland.  When I think of Christmas, I don't think of whites and neutral colors.  I think of glitter and all sorts of colors.  The more glitter, the better!  I've been reading Christmas blogs and found one, A Debbie-Dabble Christmas.  She had 17 trees decorated last year!  Wow!  I don't think my husband, aka The Grinch, would allow me to do that.  I think I'm lucky I get to put 2-3 up.  Anyway, I'm thinking of going to Hobby Lobby and Michaels to see what they have out.  I'll post whatever I buy.  Hope you find your Joy.  Kim
